The Evonne Effect!!!!! Also I am a recovering / struggling puff sleeve addict, and this gave me such peace.

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Always here to give you peace and to convince you those sleeves will always be relevant!

Imma get them out from the box under the bed 🏃‍♀️

I’m with Sara on this one! Stay in the cult 💗

I love your wedding dress and that red dress ❤️❤️! Most of my clothes are covered in roses which is what I love and I will never change. We love what we love. People are always saying I saw this dress you would love lol. I’m also partial to a puff sleeve too now a puff sleeve with roses “sigh”.

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Thank you so much Noelene. I love hearing how you are equally obsessed with roses as I am polka dots. When you love something so much no matter the form it is always worth splurging on. Even puff sleeved rose shoulders ❤ ❤ ❤

Same! I’m an Ulla junkie and have more striped shirts than I can count. Never met one I didn’t like!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

The more stripes, the better your closet looks!

Katelyn Cnossen's avatar

I LOVE your wedding dress! I love how much you stick to your patterns and shapes and food choices 😂

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Thank you, Kate! She was my favorite find ever. She’s been sold, but it makes me happy knowing another bride got to wear her down the aisle.

I love the Evonne Effect and always connect you with Ulla Johnson because of the great puff sleeves.

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Thanks, Tina. The power her sleeves have over me is truly remarkable 😂

Could not agree more that getting dressed in the morning really shifts your energy! I get ready even on days I don’t have calls or have to leave the house!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

It’s a MUST! I’m so glad you agree, Jillian. An instant mood booster.

This framework for thinking about personal style is incredibly sharp. The idea that repetition comforts rather than bores is kinda underrated in fashion spaces. I used to overthink outfit planing until I realized my closet goldmines were the same three silhouetes I kept reaching for anyway. But maybe the real power isn't in knowing what you like, but in being so secure that you don't need external validation to keep wearing it.

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Thank you so much. There is so much power and confidence in knowing what you like to wear and owning it. Our closets are full of repeated goldmines. If the rest of the world could only catch on….

I love a puff sleeve! Instantly makes me feel like a chic woman who has her life together! We’re allowed to like what we like! 🫶🏻

Evonne Sturm's avatar

I’m so glad you’re in the club with me, Meggie!

We could all use a little bit of the Evonne Effect in our wardrobes!!

Framing this on my wall! Thank you, Fanny 💗.

May we all find love the way Evonne loves a puff sleeve!!

I actually happen to be a huge fan of a good puffy sleeve - but I definitely do not pull it off quite like you!! I’m very into polkadots— specifically the way you frame them here!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Aw, thank you, Traci! My love holds no bounds for a puff sleeve. I actually think they would look great on you, it’s just about finding the right proportion. I think a long sleeve puff button down is your answer. Now I will be on the hunt to find you the perfect option. Stay tuned!

I also love repeating meals, ha! Repeating meals, outfits and formulas and routines that just hit. You look great in a print girl!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Thank you, Nina. Repeating meals is the best, could eat the same thing for lunch for a month straight and never get tired of it. What is one of your favorite meals to repeat?

Nina Piccini's avatar

Well we eat the same thing for lunch I got it down to $12 for 10 meals which is fab. But I love making chicken cutlet and Caesar salads. I do that every couple weeks and it hits every time - you??

Evonne Sturm's avatar

That sounds delicious. My current routine has changed but back in the day I would be completely content with the veggie chili from Hale and Hearty. Those were the days.

i love how strong your style POV is. And the fact that your friends send you all the screenshots just confirms! and a polka dot moment is like no other!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Thanks, Jordyn! An amazing compliment coming from my favorite style icon on Substack. Please tell me you’ve seen those polka dot boxer shorts from HOMMEgirls, they have your name all over them!

Jordyn Sharfe's avatar

wait the ones @FINDS By Ginny shared?? LOVE them!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Yes! They are so stinky cute. NEED A PAIR.

Stealing the "41 and getting shit done" mantra for the remainder of this age :). LOVE the stripes and polka dots!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

So glad to hear there are more of us! Shout that Mayra from the rooftops.

Stripes and Polka Dots are hands down the two best prints to ever exist.

Tamara Cnossen's avatar

Wow- striped and polkadots look amazing. And I love your bed!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Thank you! I’m obsessed with it too 😊

I love that you know so well what works for you and stick to it. That my friend - is having a TRUE sense of style!

Lovvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee

Petites in puffed sleeves: pure perfection! There have only been a handful of times when I sensed I'd gone too far. Otherwise, the bigger the better!

I love your point about polka dots. I tend not to gravitate towards them because they can read too retro for my style, but you've helped me see them in a new light. Thank you!

Evonne Sturm's avatar

Petites in puffed sleeves is pure perfection - love that iteration!! I agree with you, the bigger the better.

I think a micro dot really pushes the dot to a new territory and leans away from retro and tee. It’s almost a non print print.
