I loved this one, Evonne! The timing is really funny. I just took out some old jewelry about a week ago (one being the iconic Tiffany’s bracelet with the heart charm, my husband gave it to me while he was in the service, and the other my OG Pandora charm bracelet with charms from places like my honeymoon!). I tried cleaning them with a new jewelry cleaner I got on Prime Day. It wasn’t successful, but I’m determined to get them to a jeweler so I can wear them again.

I love that you were able to keep and resurrect your pieces. I REALLY admire the way you wear them now!!! So many good jewelry finds here. This was such a lovely read.

I can’t speak that it works for all jewelry, but definitely for Sterling Silver 💪🏼.

Thank you, Traci! We are TWINS, bust those timeless pieces out and add them to the rotation. I promise you will not be disappointed, it will be a nice reminder of how much it means to you when you wear them.

My mom’s secret sauce to clean them up was the following. Maybe that might do the trick for you?!? Soaked the pieces in a mixture of 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 tbsp of baking soda.  Then used a silver polishing cloth.

Oh man- sadly ALL my Tiffany pieces experienced the fate yours almost did. I have no idea where they all went. It’s so sad to think about actually!! I’m so happy you were able to salvage these!!

Too bad you were not able to savage. BUT, based on your outfit snaps your jewelry that you do have is quite impressive. Some real iconic pieces that you will have forever.

Me too.. I had my mom search their whole house for the necklace I bought when I came to NY for the first time for my 16th birthday. It’s nowhere to be found.. I’m very sad about it!

NOOOOO! I’m sad for you. The TRR has a treasure trove of old Tiffany’s iconic pieces. I see a future perfect birthday gift on the horizon Which necklace was it?

It was an open teardrop little pendant on a chain! I was so proud of myself when I asked the salesperson for it and paid for it all by myself haha! I found one on TRR just now!! Why didn’t that occur to me?? Hahaha

So much timelessness in one post. The way you make them look so modern makes me want to find my old little tiffany bracelet and give it a whirl.

Jewelry is the sentimental part of my closet and my most cherished pieces come from loved ones or travels. Thanks for the reminder 🥰🥰🥰

Give that old Tiffany’s bracelet a whirl. I’m sure she’d look fantastic in your lineup today.

I’m so glad you agree about jewelry being the most sentimental pieces in our wardrobe 💖. Such a good reminders and memories when you put it on and stare down at it while wearing it.

I was deeply obsessed with getting a Tiffany necklace with the heart charm; I think it was Legally Blonde that featured the necklace and it was SO aspirational. Honestly each of these pieces looks so modern now so bravo to you for styling but also for the reminder to hold on to things.

Elle Woods, our ultimate style icon from the early aughts. She really did give so much charm to that necklace. Appreciate your kind words on how I styled them today. It just goes to show that timeless pieces always hold up, regardless of the decade in which you wear them.

There’s always treasures hidden at mom’s house isn’t there?? I loved my Tiffany charms (sadly gone with the rest) and always envied my friends with the ball bracelet. Truly timeless!

Mine is a Return to Tiffany oval pendant on a chunky choker chain. I don’t think they make it anymore. I’ve been finding pairing the choker with a longer necklace makes it a bit more modern (as opposed to just wearing a choker like when I first got it). Still playing with ideas tho!

Thank you so much for the mention. And it’s so funny that you’re showing your Tiffany jewelry – I still have two or three pieces from my first trips to New York as well. I know I’ll start wearing them again soon, even though deep down, I’ve always been a gold girl through and through.

First, the call from your mom saying they're cleaning up your things totally resonates. But the Tiffany jewelry! I love your necklace stack, even more so because it has personal meaning to you. I'm so nostalgic for the Tiffany heart charm bracelet I regretfully sold on TRR, what was I thinking? I still have my oval choker necklace (it was such a big purchase for me way back when) and wear it to this day.

Thank you, Tina! This piece was inspired by you and how you shared your MVPs were your jewelry items and not clothes. Appreciated hearing this and it def sparked my creative juices.

I’m so glad you still have the oval choker necklace and wear it to this day. Don’t let her go. I’ve amazed myself at how often I gravitated towards these childhood pieces. Tiffany’s is simply the best and so timeless.

Could not agree more about investing in jewelry pieces that hold meaning! Thanks for the LOVE and also LOVE how you stacked the long ball chain heart pendant. Have been really into sterling silver myself lately these days, it just feels so clean and fresh. And I recently purchased a pair of 10mm turquoise ball earrings that feel so nostalgic....but really I think ball jewelry is so timeless!

Thanks, Jillian. Your eye for vintage is unmatched and I’m so sad you closed your shop. But I’m excited for your new journey and I’ve been loving your Substack so much. Do you remember me from Syracuse? We were in the same major.

So glad to hear we are aligned on sterling silver. Happy to see it is having a resurgence. So classic and timeless.
